Curious warning labels...

1. On a bag of Fritos - YOU COULD BE A WINNER! NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. DETAILS INSIDE. (The shoplifter special!)
2. On a bar of Dial soap - DIRECTIONS - USE LIKE REGULAR SOAP. (And that would be how?)
3. On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom of the box) -DO NOT TURN UPSIDE DOWN. (Too late! You lose!)
4. On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding - PRODUCT WILL BE HOT AFTER HEATING. (Meant for the McDonalds coffee lady to be certain)
5. On a Korean kitchen knife - WARNING: KEEP OUT OF CHILDREN. (there goes my number one use)
6. On a Japanese food processor - NOT TO BE USED FOR THE OTHER USE. (Now I'm curious.)
7. On an American Airlines packet of nuts INSTRUCTIONS - OPEN PACKET, EAT NUTS. (I'm glad they cleared that up.)
8. On some frozen dinners: SERVING SUGGESTION: DEFROST. (Wouldn't have thought of that one)
8. On a hotel provided shower cap in a box: FITS ONE HEAD. (but if you're careful the shower caddy is a tight, yet doable fit)
10. On packaging for a Rowenta iron: DO NOT IRON CLOTHES ON BODY. (Does not reverse effects of aging no matter how many times you try!)

Oh, the offensive Cross of Christ

Once again, the cross has become an offensive symbol. To whom? Someone get offended about having one in a parade? Too close to a county courthouse maybe? Someone not like the fact that they can see one on a church steeple too close to the road? Sadly, it's far worse than any of those. This time the cross has become offensive and non-inclusive......in a CHAPEL! And the country has reached a new low.
According to a Press report in the St. Paul Pioneer, Regions Hospital opted to remove the cross from the chapel "...lest it offend any non-Christians who amble into the room." The cross was placed carefully in the Chaplains office "...so that no one will see it." After all, there is nothing more offensive that the symbol that shows so much love of one man for the world that he willingly died on that symbol. If only all things offensive were so for that reason, the world would be a much better place. My next question is this, if it's no longer safe to have a cross in a chapel where it is supposed to be seen, because someone might actually accomplish doing so, How much longer will it be before no religious symbols are allowed anywhere in public whatsoever for fear of offending those who might have to drive by and see them. If we follow this course of action to its logical end, then all churches (private or non) should remove steeple crosses, signs, billboards, nameplates, and anything else that shows it is a place to worship God, because someone who doesn't believe in God might drive by and see them and be offended. A far off possibility??? I think much more plausible than I would like it to be. Again I say, our country has reached a new level of low.
