Runner's Log 9-01-05....And other things

Ok, time to catch ye ol' running log up to date. I've been following a rather new approach to marathon training put out by Furman University in SC. As it turns out this thing is awesome for me, and many others as well. My main runs lately have been as follows: 2 weeks ago, 5 miles in 30 minutes...felt easy!, tuesday run, that weekend, did 20 miles in 100* in 2:13:24...felt good when I finished. Past Tuesday did 6 miles of farlek in 35minutes flat including the rests. I'm cross training through Strive@ equipment for weights and strength and martial arts for flexibility and timing. All is going extremely well. The marathon is 5 weeks and counting!

In other news, Pray for Katrina victims. There are many who feel hopeless and depressed right now. Do they need homes? Yes. Food and water? Absolutely. Shelter? also yes. But MOST of all, they need to find Christ is still Lord in all of this chaos.

A buddy of mine recently got called to pastor a church out in Crane, TX. Congrats D!In working on building a website on blogger for the church, he also discovered how to put pictures on this thing and size them to fit. This may be a simple tool, but I've never used HTML until this blog so this was a learning curve for me. I'll hopefully be putting up pics soon. Must go for now!
