Anything about this sound dangerous to anyone but me?

Jesse Helms biggest fear? Bill Clinton running the United Nations

CHARLOTTE, N.C -- Bill Clinton in charge of the United Nations? That's the image former U.S. Sen. Jesse Helms is dangling in front of his ardent supporters in a letter aimed at raising money for his senatorial library. In the letter, the 83-year-old Republican, who left office in 2003 after five terms, worries that the former president has aspirations to lead the U.N. after Kofi Annan retires next year.``I'm sure you might agree that putting a left-wing, undisciplined and ethically challenged former President of the United States into a position of such power would be a tragic mistake,'' Helms writes. The Associated Press obtained a copy of the letter Tuesday. It contains a petition that asks President Bush to ``rebuke all efforts by Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and every other liberal in Congress to push for Bill Clinton to become Secretary-General of the United Nations.''A spokesman for Clinton did not immediately return a call seeking comment Tuesday and the former president has said nothing publicly about wanting to lead the U.N.Still, Clinton, who often butted heads with Helms when the archconservative headed the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, remains the ultimate bogeyman for Helms and his supporters.``Senator Helms thinks it would be a disaster if President Clinton went to the U.N.,'' said John Dodd, president of the Helms Center in Wingate, 30 miles southeast of Charlotte. ``With all the baggage he would bring, there's no telling what conservatives would want to do.``I'm hearing more and more people saying we need to kick the U.N. out and de-fund the United Nations,'' Dodd said. ``I think this would be a big mistake and the senator agrees it would be a big mistake.''The Helms Center opened in 2001. It is known for a lecture series that has attracted speakers such as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.Helms, a native of nearby Monroe who attended Wingate University, was a Raleigh television commentator before he was elected to the Senate in 1972 and went on to became one of the nation's most prominent conservatives.

Ok, lets just put aside for the moment the reasons already mentioned above, that would make it a really bad thing for former President Bill Clinton to be in leadership of the United Nations. Aside from any of the few things he might have done well, the man sold out his country (China...fully operational F-16...Sold for 2 million instead of 40 million...china doesn't even like us...enough said, and that's the minor example) . He is a man without morals. He is a man without conscience, and is completely unfit to be in ANY leadership position because of this. His only concern is that no one is watching when he does something he shouldn't. The man brought our country closer to the brink of outright socialism than we've ever been before, he weakened us more than we've ever been before militarily, and he was HAPPY about all of it. Now I'm not one to go throwing around "end-times" signs all over the place...it's not worth it. The bible says that no man knows the hour or the day....but the bible does also say to keep watch and be ready. So allow me to posit something for you here as a could be....For the one-world government, religion, rulership, to occur, America HAS to fall. There is no getting around it. With Americans believing in freedom of everything, no one will march in and tell them differently without a fight. We know that the people of the world will eventually WILLINGLY give up the rule of themselves to the antichrist because they will be greatly deceived, at that point, America as we know it will have already passed on. Our democracy makes it impossible for the world-wide govt to function as the bible says it will...as a false theocracy. Now, here we have one of the world's biggest public liars (yet no one seems to want to mind that anymore), one of the world's most scandalous individuals (yet no one seems to care anymore), and a man who is believed to be responsible for the deaths of many that opposed him (yet no one seems to want to think about that anymore) running in a silent bid for the leadership of the known world. All anyone wants to think about are the good things he supposedly did. The shame that he heaped upon himself, others are willingly pawing through to lift him up again. Does that make Bill Clinton the anti-christ??? Of course not....it's been done with thousands of other individuals too throughout history. But it does show up as a moral sign of the times that we're in. We're not talking about a small-time leader here, we're talking global repercussions. Could he be?? Sure, but unfortunately, we won't know for sure until it's too late to stop it. Then again, we know that everything in the bible WILL in fact happen. Whoever the antichrist turns out to be, there will be no stopping or halting his rise to power. We deceive ourselves if we think we are that powerful. He will not be operating under his own strength and power. What is the point of all this rambling? BE AWAKE, and BE READY. God says "Behold I am coming quickly". It brings to mind an old cliche, that we truly do need to be reaching all of those for the name of Christ that we possibly can. A "duh" statement, and at the same time a challenging one. In my mind, these are exciting times. If the end of the world is to happen in my lifetime....WOW, what an awesome thought....to see the return of my King! If it doesn't....that's fine too, I'll live a good life and get to see all of the preparations that Christ is making for His return, and then I'll see Him anyway. I can't lose! But until then, my commission is impressed upon me that much more, "....Go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
